Lenders who receive your request use it to evaluate you for credit under their own policies and privacy notices, including obtaining soft credit inquiries at the prequalification stage.
How We Share Information
We share request information with participating lenders for the purpose of producing loan offers — that sharing is the service. We also share with service providers who operate parts of the site and process on our behalf under contract; with authorities where the law requires; and in connection with a business transfer if one occurs. We do not sell your personal information to unrelated marketers. Once a lender receives your information, its use is governed by that lender's privacy notice, which their offer and agreement will present.
Security and Retention
Information transmits over encrypted connections, and we apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity. No internet transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
